The topic that some people are not so precise about, they don't want to give away there secrets when it comes to social media marketing. Down below you will see the 8 must do if you're marketing your company on social media. These tips are a gold mine if used properly and can double or even triple your profits in the first couple of months of implementing these tips.
1. INCREDIBLE WEBSITE
This is one of the backbones of your business, your website is one of the most important things of your business that brings new clients/customers to you. Theres a checklist that you need to have in order for you to have a perfect website. Your website should be the go to where your clients/customers go to whenever they forget your phone number, services, social media platform, email etc.
When your first go on your website, you need to make sure that it's fully mobile optimized. This is a huge factor because 90% of the people visiting your website will be through a mobile device and that number will only get bigger.
A lot of websites do not have a call-to-action as soon as you go on it and it's highly important that you have one. Over 95% of the people that go on your website will only do one click, you want to make sure that one click is worth it and can get you that sale. If you go on a Dominoes website, it's because you want to order some pizza so there call-to-action would be a "call now" or "deliver now" call to action. Without it, they would not have a high conversion rate and they could easily go to Pizza Hut and look at there website. Do not let money walk away from you just because you don't have a call-to-action.
2. SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS
Every business is different and one may not need all the social media platforms that other businesses need to have. The two main platforms that almost every business should have is a Facebook and an Instagram. Regardless of how many you have, you need to make sure that they all look similar and have all the information filled out. All your social media platforms should have your website, phone number, and email. These are crucial because it directs them to their choice of platform if you have a platform that they prefer using, making them see your content even more. Make sure that on all your platforms have the same username, some may be impossible to do that, if that's the case, just make it similar to the other usernames. Your profile pictures need to be all the same, as well as your cover photo. A lot of these platforms give you some options to elaborate on the about me, hours, menu, services etc. Make sure to fill all that out and it looks all filled, don't make it seem like someone just quickly made it just to have one and makes it look like there's no activity.
3. CONTENT CREATION
There's two factors when it comes down to content creation; number one is actually having the content. You need to make sure that you have more than enough content for you to be advertising. That means if it requires you to hire a professional photographer or videographer to come out and take a lot of pictures and videos, I would highly suggest it. You want to make people trust your brand and nothing is more trust worthy than actual photos/videos of your actual product/business. The second factor to content creating is the editing part. Make the photos or videos pop off with your logo on them or some quotes. Get creative with them and see how you can make that picture appealing just by having someone looking at it. If you can't be creative with editing, please hire someone to do so. It is very important and it does not matter how good you are at marketing, you will get higher conversions with better content and that's guaranteed.
4. SCHEDULED CONTENT
Depending in the business that you're in, a lot of the times when you already convert someone into what you have to offer, they will only see your social media from that point and on. They probably won't go on your website as much, unless they are looking for your services. So you want to make sure that you give them some sort of reminder that you're still there and that can be a huge impact with referrals. For this to happen, you need to have content on all platforms and activity that shows that the company is still in business and it's running well. You can use programs like Hootsuite to post the same content on all your platforms at the same time. You can choose one day to schedule your posting for one week or even a month. Always stay consistent and never give up. You can reach people organically and also promote specials that can reach to the people that already follow you for free.
5. PAID ADS
This is the heart when it comes to bringing in new business. If done correctly, your business will do just fine in the long run with paid ads. This means Facebook Ads, Google AdWords, Click Funnels, etc. Be super knowledgeable on all the places where it's best to run ads for your business. The better that you're at it, the cheaper it will be that you pay per conversion. Everyone is on there phones these days and on social media, so use it to your advantage and market correctly. Make sure that you have your facebook pixel and google tag set up on your website because that's the major key when it comes to retargeting. A lot of people say they know how to run ads but the money makes is in the retargeting, not on the first targeting. Implementing all these little things in the paid ads can go a super long way and bring more sales to your business.
6. EMAIL LIST
I can't begin to tell you how important it is to build an email list and that's for any company. It is so powerful and for a lot of reasons. First reason is that it's free marketing, you can easily use this list on Facebook or programs like Mailchimp. The bigger your list gets, the more access you have to free marketing. The second reason why you want to grow your email list, is if you ever decide to sell your business, your email list can be a huge factor on the value of the business, or you can even just sell the email list alone.
